How we test

Tested means one thing here: we used the product ourselves and wrote down what happened.

Where things stand: as of Nov 1, 2026, we have completed a test of 0 of the 7 products on this site. The rest are covered from public sources only.

What counts as a test

1. We get an account the normal way, as a farmer would.
2. We try the main job: give an update, get a record back, find it later and take the data out.
3. We write down each step and result, with the date and who did it.
4. We say where the test happened and what we left out. A desk test is not a test on a tractor, and the log will say which it was.

A company demo, a press release or a marketing video does not count.

What the test tag means

Every product shows its test status: a tag on its main page, or a line in the comparison. "Used hands-on by us" shows a date only when a test log exists. Until then it says "Not yet", and the entry is built from public sources alone. Our site checks fail if a product is marked as tested without a date, a tester and a log.

How we label facts

• The company says. A claim from the company's own site or press release. We have not confirmed it.
• Reported. Published by someone other than the company. Reports can still rest on what the company told them.
• We saw this on a public page. We looked at the page ourselves. That shows what the page says, not how the product works.

Every entry in our fact lists links to its source and shows when we last checked it. If we can't find something, we say so.

No scores without a test

We don't give scores, rankings or "best of" verdicts for products we haven't used.

Money

No company pays for coverage here, and the site has no affiliate links or ads today. If that changes, we will say so next to the link or ad.

Your privacy

The site has no accounts, cookies or third-party scripts. Entries in the voice field log stay in your browser.
